Song of the day: It’s Not – Aimee Mann

Yes, that’s right. Aimee Mann (damn you Sundry, damn you to Hell). Haven’t there been enough chick songs featured lately? I mean, there is a difference, since Mann is actually really good, and Shakira and Celine are really just fluff, but come on, self! Get with the program! Bring back the Zombie, G’n’R, and Iron Maiden!

But no, I’m stuck on these girlie songs. It’s a phase, self. That’s all, a phase. Yeah.

Since I’m in this mode, however, I may as well put it to good use. As all of my two other readers know, Peachy is getting married in about a week and a half. Thanks to my suck-ass job, I’m not going to be able to make it to the wedding (although, my current financial status doesn’t help any, but I’d rather put all the blame on work that I can). It sounds like it’s going to be a bash, and I do wish I could go, but that’s the way it goes sometimes.

In case you’re wondering what the point is… be patient, I’m getting there. In my own time.

As I will be unable to attend, I have decided to post a picture a day in celebration of this event. For those of you thinking that this is also a sneaky way to get myself to post more, don’t get your hopes up. I’ll probably just end up putting up pictures most of the time.

Having worked with Peachy before, I know what kind of sick and sarcastic tendancies she has, but I also know that she, much like my own partner, has a softer side as well. So these pics will not be my usual fare of transexuals, dark alleyways, and other items in various stages of dacay. No, these will be happy pictures, full of life and hope. Visions of the future, and dreams yet unrealized.

Uh… yeah. Ahem.

Sorry about that. Just got caught up in the moment.

So here starts the countdown (and won’t I feel like a fool if I’ve somehow gotten the date wrong) of day 12 until the wedding. And image number 1.

Why, that is just so…nice. Being, like you said, a total softie, I’m very touched. Even if you were posting pictures featuring items in various stages of decay I’d be touched.
