In my head: Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) – Journey

So, did you ever really want to write a blog, and then just not have time because you were up until one in the morning doing homework and had class the next day so you couldn’t write it afterwards, and then, by the time you got an opportunity to write it you’d had three other good blogs come and go in your head as well?

Come on, someone else must’ve had this experience too. It can’t be just me.

Well, that’s the truth. There was all kinds of stuff that I wanted to write about, and now all I have is shadowy reflections of what could have been.

But I’ll try and summarize.

I saw “Punch Drunk Love”, and liked it… but I’m not sure what it was about. It’s really kind of confusing. And horrible. Not horrible as in a bad movie, but horrible as in an emotional roller coaster ride of unexpected twists and turns. I kid you not, at one point I was biting my hand because the movie just would not let up. It suffocates you. Once you see the opening scene, you’ll know what you’re in for with the rest of the movie.

Next, well, I can’t think of what was next. But I assure you, there was something that was supposed to be next.

You may be wondering what happened to that drunken boat story I teased you with. Well, you’ll just have to wait. I wrote it up for my creative writing class, and wasn’t happy with the result, so I need to revise it some. It’s about five pages now, and I figure it has the potential to be seven or so.

Speaking of writing… I think I may have written the longest essay so far to date. I was shooting for twelve pages, and got nineteen. Six thousand words. I managed to cut it down to five-seven. I know that I could probably cut quite a bit more, but I don’t really want to. The point is, I can’t wait until next year, when I can enter the NaNoWriMo. Seeing as I wrote (and edited) a six thousand word essay in only three days, I’m pretty sure I can write fifty-k in a month.

I say that now anyway.
